Job Title: Jr. Staff Accountant

Salary: $65-80k

Location: Costa Mesa, CA

As a Junior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records,

performing various accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and

regulations. You will help produce restaurant division P&Ls by posting unit inventories, journal entries

and various accruals, and perform other related tasks as needed.

Essential Job Duties:

• Work collaboratively with a team of accountants, accounts payable, and regional office managers
• Examine daily sales summaries for accuracy and completeness.
• Identify and correct any discrepancies in sales records.
• Accurately input backup data to create journal entries.
• Record bank expenses in the accounting system.
• Keep detailed logs of change orders.
• Reconcile any discrepancies found in the logs.
• Investigate and dispute chargebacks promptly, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Process customer refund requests efficiently.
• Maintain records of all refunds issued.
• Prepare and enter basic journal entries as required.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures to ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Perform various administrative tasks such as scanning, printing, and uploading files.
• Support the accounting team with additional duties as needed.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus
• 1+ years of experience in accounting or finance.
• R365 software experience is highly preferred
