What’s on the menu for 2024? With many new Michelin restaurants launching from coast to coast, Americans can now experience custom creations from some of today’s star chefs. With so many new Michelin restaurants, 2024 is sure to offer something that appeals to your taste buds. Here’s what you can expect from a city near you.
Tre Dita (Chicago)
When visiting The St. Regis Chicago Hotel in The Loop, you’ll discover Tre Dita. This Tuscan-themed steakhouse is originally the brainchild of Evan Funke, better known for his Los Angeles-based Felix and Mother Wolf Italian restaurants. Through a partnership with the Chicago-based Lettuce Entertain You hospitality group, Tre Dita offers signature dishes to Chicago diners.
With a temperature-controlled pasta lab and open-hearth wood-fired grill, the menu alone is worth the trip. But the restaurant is also worth visiting for its Tuscan-inspired decor and architecture provided by the London-based David Collins Studio.
Amado Grill (New York)
New York’s Amado Grill stands out among new Michelin restaurants for its refined, intimate atmosphere. Located next to Ignaco Mattos’ bistro, the 38-seat restaurant offers a four-course menu that includes seafood and dishes such as squab a l’orange.
You’ll find Amado Grill in the Lower East Side’s Nine Orchard Hotel. The 750-square-foot space features white linens and porcelain for a classy atmosphere, and guests can enjoy their meal for $125.
Ito (Las Vegas)
Ito is already a Tribeca favorite, and it now has planned a second location for the Fontainebleau Las Vegas hotel. You’ll find Ito located in the Poodle Room, a members-only club located on the hotel’s 67th floor. Its counter seats 12, adding to the restaurant’s intimate setting and exclusive atmosphere.
Like its New York counterpart, Ito will feature fresh fish flown in daily from Japan. Diners will delight in the wagyu and caviar-accented omakase, and 22 courses will come to $400.
Bar Kada (Orlando)
Sushi lovers will also love Orlando’s Bar Kada, which opened in February of 2024. Michael Collantes already earned a Michelin star at Soseki, located in Winter Park. Bar Kada sits adjacent to this location, featuring a more modern take on traditional sushi omakase.
Bar Kada will have a sake and wine-themed concept alongside seasonal small plates provided by chef Mike Vang. Guests can enjoy local seafood, as well as wine and sake-based cocktails in this 30-seat restaurant, adding a touch of elegance to central Florida.
Eylan (San Francisco)
West Coast guests can enjoy Indian cuisine from a wood-fueled grill. This establishment features regional Indian breads, authentic cuisine, and a wide selection of Indian snacks.
Chef Srijith “Sri” Gopinathan previously earned two Michelin stars at Taj Campton Place. Now, he is partnering with Ayesha Thapar to provide Indian food in Menlo Park through Eylan.
Inside, you’ll find earth tones decorating the 200-seat restaurant. Eylan guests can enjoy unique flavors provided by the Cal-Indian chef, as well as seasonal items with an authentic flair.
Reverie (Washington DC)
In 2023, Johnny Spero watched his Georgetown-based restaurant Reverie burn to the ground after earning its first Michelin star. Thankfully, the restaurant has returned with a whole new look provided by local design firm Edit Lab.
Regarding its menu, Reverie will continue to feature a coastal seafood-centered tasting menu complete with Maryland crab fused with global flavors and other tastes of the sea. The 2,200-square-foot space will feature a 36-seat dining room with an option kitchen to provide the nation’s capitol with a high-quality dining experience.
